In September this year, the Special Prosecutor began a probe into the controversial Agyapa Royalties deal. A move that received so many criticisms from the minority, CSOs, and several other concerned citizens.
Uk based Ghanaian Mansa Musa has added his voice to issues surrounding the recent report from the Office of the Special Prosecutor. According to the political show host? The government of the day is doing everything possible to monopolise all lucrative sectors of Ghana.
“Talk of the energy sector, banking sector, and the mineral sector. Akufo Addo and his inner core family have set out not to democratize but rather monopolize as already stated, anything that makes money Now and in the future. They plan that when they are done with us Ghanaians, anything worth having in terms of wealth and property will belong to a carefully created cartels, made up of these guys, from there.” he said in a post copied to MyNewsGhana.net

Madness, this is Madness. A group of people in government gathered around in secrecy to hatch a plan to monopolize every lucrative sector of the state.
Talk of the energy sector, banking sector, and the mineral sector. Planned state capture, economically and politically has rather evolved from opacity to brazenness. These guys will stop at nothing to get what they think is theirs.
That is why Nana Addo is throwing another dice in anticipation of a win in this Agyapa nonsense when almost every decent being on this planet, who’ve seen this deal says it is rotten, it stinks, and should be discarded. But no, not this one too, PDS yamutu, other schemes didn’t succeed so nana wants Agyapa Royalties badly irrespective of strong opposition from all angles.
The reason for this total disrespect for our feelings, our Ghanaian sensitivities is because of the loud silence of so-called leading members of society who are completely absent this time around. Today in Ghana, one can cough only if it’s in support of akufo Addo.
Even Rawlings, a man I admire so much, has gone quiet. My goodness! Who born dog? So it’s true they say, when good and genuine people go silent, the ugly rif raf of society takes charge of proceedings and raises their cries in a deafening crescendo. Credit to the chief of Kpone, to Togbe Afedi, to the chief of dormaa and of course to The Asantehene. Else we end up with abronye and wuntumis of this world.
Now, back to Agyapa/Asaase Royalties, Martin (not very useful) Amidu, was tasked to engage in a damage limitation exercise. All he has done is a confirmation of what the minority in parliament and of course Mr. Solomon Owusu and Mr. Kevin Taylor had already highlighted about this deal and yet, instead of concentrating on the real issue, he Martin (not very useful) Amidu has resorted to mischief-making.
What the heck has the Airbus issue got to do with stinking Agyapa Royalties nonsense, if not just to equalize matters to appease his masters in government. Shame on you, Martin, shame on you big time. Mahama has promised to maintain The Office of SP but I believe personnel changes should seriously be considered to make that Office truly viable. Because we seriously have to fight corruption, going forward.
If you ask me for my preferred candidate, P.C Appiah Ofori comes to mind. Respect 🙌
