Special Prosecutor (SP) William Kissi Agyebeng has been requested by two concerned people to start his full examination into various auction autos from 2009 to 2015. According to reports, the OSP has started looking into allegations of corruption and crimes related to corruption involving the auction sales of vehicles and other products by the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority between July 1, 2016, and August 15, 2022. Kissi Agyebeng, the Special Prosecutor, instructed the Commissioner of the Customs Division to provide details and a detailed description of all products sold at auction to the Office of the Special Prosecutor on or before September 30, 2022, in a statement that was signed on August 19, 2022. The Special Prosecutor additionally ordered the Commissioner of the Customs Division to stop and suspend any auction sales right away until the inquiry is complete. While expressing gratitude for the information, George Krobea Asante and Andrew Dwomoh Osei urged the OSP to predate the inquiry period to the Mills/Mahama government in a petition seen by Peacefmonline.com. We formally request that your respected office consider extending the investigation's time frame to include the years 2009 to 2015 as persons who have a great deal of interest in and support for the Special Prosecutor's work as well as an anti-corruption society in general. This is critical, the petition stated, "since there have been several claims of corruption involving the auction sales throughout that time, most notably the famous Carl Wilson matter, where it was believed that several auctioned cars were diverted without using due process."
