
Red River Foods Ghana limited an American-based company through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and focus on Sustainability has donated face masks and Veronica buckets to 21 communities it works within, in the Bono and Bono East Regions.
In order to publicize proper hygiene practices and destigmatize COVID-19, Red River Foods stands united with cashew farmers and community members alike in fighting the coronavirus by practising good hygiene, social distancing, and strict adherence to face mask-wearing in public spaces.
Wayne Tilton, the Director of Operations, Africa for Red River Foods presented 100 face masks and a Veronica bucket to each of the communities of Agosa, Bonkwae, and Nkwaeso in the Bono East Region to demonstrate RRF’s commitment to the health and safety of the communities in which it works within Ghana.
“We have been working with Ghanaian farmers for nearly a decade. Not only do we feel that it is part of our Corporate Responsibility, but we have developed long term relationships with these communities and are happy to do our part to support in this difficult time,” says, Mr. Tilton.
In addition to these 3 communities, 18 other communities in the Bono and Bono East Regions will be receiving face masks and Veronica buckets from Red River Foods.
