The General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr John Boadu has told the National Democratic Congress(NDC) to concentrate efforts on how to collate election results rather than focusing on the mandates of the Electoral Commission(EC).

According to him, the collation of results should rather be the main focus of the NDC instead of the electoral reforms.

Speaking in an interview on Neat FM, which was monitored by MyNewsGhana.net Mr Boadu said that the desire to have changes in the electoral system does not lie in the hands of one party hence the NDC cannot propose some rules and expect that it is passed into law.

“Are we going to allow a party who cant collate election results to propose electoral reforms for us?” he asked.

Turning to other issues, Mr John Boadu also lashed out at the NDC for organising a press conference to demand that President Akufo-Addo should adopt the constitution review committee report that was worked on during the era of the late President Atta Mills.

According to him, if the NDC knew the relevance of the report, why didn’t former President Mahama adopt that report when he was President.

He also wondered why the NDC is pushing for the reported to be implemented at this time.
