A lockdown of Ghana in a bid to control the spread of the coronavirus will be an expensive decision to take at this time, Deputy General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA), Dr Titus Beyuo has said.
He explained on the Key Points on TV3 Saturday July 24 that lockdowns are meant to help policy and decision makers think and bring out ideas on how to contain a pandemic of this nature.
However, he said in relation to prevention of Covid, all the thinking has been done, the nation knows what to do to deal with the virus hence no need to lock down again.
“Lockdown now will be very expensive,” Dr Beyuo told Abena Tabi.
