Mr Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, the founder and director of Kandifo Institue has fired at the Executives and sympathizers of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) for seeking to chalk cheap political points with the death of the founder of the party, Jerry John Rawlings.
According to him, the actions of the National Democratic Congress is hypocritical and it is only geared towards chalking political goals.
He said;
I am excited that the vigil went on and I am particularly excited that the family of the late President Rawlings attended the vigil, represented by Dr. Zenator Rawlings and her brother Kimathi Rawlings, and it is really important that the NDC does not make political capital of this.
He continued by saying;
Because this is in honor of their father, their presence there does not mean that they are agreeing to whatever they disagreed to and with the party, and those things must be put in their proper perspective.
Boakye Danquah added that,
To be honest, with you, had I ever seen the former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings at the vigil, it wouldn’t have been a surprise to me because it is in honour of the husband, so to want to make political advantage of that then you can say…they haven’t matured yet in politics.
Mr Boakye Danquah was speaking on Asaase radio monitored by Mynewsghana.net .
The NDC on Sunday organised a vigil in honour of the former President and the founder of the National Democratic Congress(NDC).
In her speech, Dr Zenator Rawlings advised all sundry to live at peace with one another as was her father’s sole desire.
