Cape Coast, 1st September, 2021, Cape Coast North Member of Parliament Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku has issued a disclaimer on Facebook cautioning his followers and constituents about fraudsters using his name to scam people.
Fraud is normally associated with a person or thing intended to deceive others, typically by unjustifiably claiming or being credited with accomplishments or qualities. People who engage in such activities are called fraudsters.
Fraudsters would normally hack an already existing account of a prominent person usually celebrities or politicians or create pseudo accounts using the names of such prominent persons to deceive unsuspecting people.
Today, Wednesday September 1, 2021, Dr. Minta Nyarku has issued an official disclaimer on his official Facebook accounts.
The disclaimer read in part as “My attention has been drawn to some individuals impersonating me on Facebook. This move is to lure innocent people regarding recruitment into the various security agencies. Please be careful about these fraudsters and scam”
His disclaimer added that, he has two main official accounts on Facebook viz: 1. Kwamena Nyarku and 2. Kwamena Minta Nyarku.
His disclaimer concluded that “All other accounts do not belong to me. Let us continue to stay safe, be security conscious and avoid being victims to these fraudsters. Investigation is ongoing to ensure these fraudsters are apprehended…….and indeed, they will be apprehended, confronted and somewhat arrested… THANK YOU!!!
