The deadly coronavirus has had a big impact on Ghana and the world at large with the virus killing both the prominent and the layperson in society.
Today, Mynewsghana.net has compiled a list of some ten prominent and well-known people in the society who got slashed from this world by the cold hands of death, and the cause been stated as Coronavirus.
JERRY JOHN RAWLINGS

The former president of the Republic of Ghana His Excellency Flt-Lt. Jerry John Rawlings who served the longest tenure in office was alleged to have been killed by the deadly coronavirus tho it has not been affirmed by the family of the former president.
SIR JOHN
Another great personality who lost his life to the virus was the former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party and Forestry Commission of Ghana boss, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie popularly known as Sir John who died on the1st July 2020 at age 63.

LEONARD GIKUNU
Leonard Gikunoo who was the head of Corporate Finance at Fidelity Bank also lost his life to Coronavirus. He died on 17th January 2020.

JOSHUA KYEREMEH
Another great personality that was lost was Mr. Joshua Kyeremah who until his demise was the head of National Security died whiles receiving treatment at the Ga East Municipal hospital in Accra
He died on Monday, January 18, 2021 after serving the country as a security expert for over 20 years

FRANCES AWUA-KYEREMATEN
Mrs. Frances Awua-Kyerematen who was the Associate Director of Ashesi University College, was said to have passed away on the 15th January 2020 after celebrating her birthday.

BEN ARTHUR
Until his untimely death after contracting Coronavirus, Ben Arthur was the Executive Secretary of the Coalition of NGOs in Water and Sanitation.

NANABANYIN PRATT
Nanabanyin Pratt who is brother to renowned journalist Kwesi Pratt was said to have died on Sunday 17 January 2020 after battling with coronavirus.
He was a Public Relations expert and lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). He was also a past executive of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) and a former Managing Director of the New Times Corporation.

MR. KWESI TWUM
The Head of Health, Safety, Security, And Environment at the Ministry of Energy, Mr. Kwesi Twum died after contracting Covid-19. Just like the others, he also died from Coonavirus in January 2021.
