Meeting Murtala Mohammed, the MP for Tamale Central, and Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the MP for Ablekuma West, was a touching reunion.

The two were a part of a group of lawmakers who attended Alhassan Suhuyini’s mother’s funeral together with the MP for Tamale North.

Murtala and Ursula put their issues aside and exchanged handshakes and smiles while posing for photos.

The MP who also serves as the Minister of Communication posted pictures from the noteworthy occasion on her Facebook page.

Given that they got into a heated argument in parliament a few weeks ago during the passage of the anti-LGBTQ bill, their acts have won the love and praise of many Ghanaians.

The Second Deputy Speaker, who was seated, called out Mr. Mohammed and requested that he retract a comment that was regarded to be out of bounds.

Infuriated by the event, Mrs. Owusu-Ekuful said the lawmaker had referred to her as an LGBTQ activist, which Mr. Murtala angrily denied.

She erupted and denounced all other lawmakers who, in her opinion, had heard the remark but had shown no sign of responding.
