The General Overseersof Crystal Chapel International, Amanfrom Kasoa Apostle David Mintah Addy has bemoaned and encouraged Christians especially that , the resurrection of Christ after his shameful death on the cross is a great sign of Victory to all humanity.
Speaking at the Thanks Giving Service of the church in remembrance of the resurrection of Christ on the theme “He is not here ” with scripture reference from Acts 28:1-6 . The Apostle made it known to the congregation that ” sometimes the people who are very close to us and dine with us are the same people who will betray you” .
“It is only when you are trusted in an institution , organisation or company that people will accept you as a treasurer to them . Judas who betrayed and sold Jesus to be crucified was once a treasure to Jesus’s ministry and yet with all the trust , he went ahead to betray Jesus and the rest of the disciples . He kissed Jesus which is a true sign of love ”
The Apostle also made mention that ” it is also very important for the Messiah to die and rise on the 3rd Day to show the uniqueness and power of the love bestowed on Humanity .
On the attitude of some Christians and pastors, Apostle David Mintah Addy lamented that some Ghanaian, especially Christians and Pastors spent precious time preaching about material things instead of the love of God to the world.
“It is said that believers celebrate Jesus Christ’s defeat of death through His resurrection creating hope of salvation for humanity” he stated.
“According to the Christian tradition, the death of Jesus Christ paid for the sins of humanity, while His resurrection symbolised believers’ anticipation of having their own resurrection.Christians must spread the good news and the gospel of the death and resurrection of our king Jesus , not material things . The death of Jesus Christ is a sacrifice and the gospel of the good news should be preached”.
On his advice to Christians around the world as we celebrate the resurrection of Christ , the Apostle was grateful to God for such a wonderful opportunity to lead and speak about Christs death and its importance to Christians. ” once there is resurrection, I want every believer to be thankful for the blood shared and the sins that has been forgiven. It’s so sweet to know your past errors or sins are forgiven”. He said .
