Management of the Savelugu Hospital in the Northern Region of Ghana has ordered a man to exhume a baby he buried because they mistakenly gave a dead baby belonging to one Fulani woman to him.
Mohammed Abdul Mumin Stopper who made this known through a rant on Facebook said the incident happened about a week ago and believes such negligence should not be countenanced in hospitals in Ghana.
Mahammed who was overwhelmed by the situation in a comment on Facebook on a similar story posted “that is what is happening in Savelugu here especially the maternity ward. Full of negligence nurses.”
Narrating what exactly happened, he said “Last week in Savelugu my brother wife gives birth and a Fulani woman also gave birth unfortunately that Fulani woman baby passed on and the nurses told my brother that his son has passed on so my brother took the dead baby and went home and buried him then later the nurses told my brother that the dead baby is for Fulani woman so they have to dug and removed the dead baby again”.
Reports say the Fulani lady and her family realized their baby had been swapped and therefore demanded that their baby is provided hence the rush on Mohammed’s family to exhume the buried baby.
