News information coming in has revealed that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has issued a statement asking for all the premier league clubs to observe a minute silence before any game is been played.
The league is scheduled to start this weekend Saturday, November 14, 2020, with a match between former champions Aduana Stars and Accra Hearts of Oak being the top liner for the weekend.
According to the GFA, the one-minute silence would be a way to pay respect to the former president of the country.
President Jerry John Rawlings died on the 12 of November at the Korle Bu Teaching hospital.
