Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu had an impressive debut in Southampton’s FA Cup fifth round victory over Wolves.
The 21-year-old played his first game for the Saints since signing 182 days ago from Real Valladolid.
He had been absent due to a recurrent muscle issue but was declared fit early this week by head coach Ralph Hasenhüttl.
The center back helped Southampton reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup with a routine victory over Wolves at Molineux.
A Danny Ings goal from close range and Stuart Armstrong’s neat late finish secured a win that ended a run of four consecutive defeats.
It’s also the first time in five games that Southampton have kept a clean sheet.
Southampton travel to Bournemouth in the quarter-finals on 20 or 21 March.
