The minority and opposition party, the National Democratic Congress has not been granted access by the security forces to petition the Electoral Commission.

The minority earlier staged a march to the EC headquarters but news reaching mynewsghana.net  reveals that the minority in parliament failed to write to the police prior to the walk to the EC Headquarters.

The walk was led by the minority leader of Parliament, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu as well as other bigwigs of the party. The NDC was not allowed to petition the EC by the security forces, hence, the Minority sent the message through the media demanding a number of things from the EC.

Speaking to Mynewsghana.net, the Deputy General Secretary, Mr. Otukunor, described the situation as a very bizarre one. According to him, the electoral commission failed to appear before the parliament,’ the same people who approved of her work’ because she feels proud and arrogant.

He added that EC has attempted to subvert the will of the people but that will not happen under their watch. The NDC will do whatever it can to make sure that justice is served to all Ghanaians.

Speaking further, he described President-Elect, Nana Akuffo Addo as a ‘former president‘ and that the NDC is never going to recognize Akuffo Addo as president.

He said;

We will reverse the verdict by the EC. It is an attempt to subverge the will of the people and we the NDC will not sit to see this evil continue in our country.

He added that;

We demand a re-collation of Techiman South results which was stolen for the NDC. Which governent agency goes for a Christmas break for 30 days when the election results is under contest.

Speaking about what the NDC intends to do with the results of the Techiman South, Mr. Otukunor said;

We shall declare the NDC candidate winner of the Techiman South Contest.
