Manasseh-Azure-with-Adjenim-Boateng

Sacked former Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Public Procurement Authority(PPA) Adjenim Boateng Adjei has spoken publicly for the first time since he was relieved of his post by President Nana Akufo-Addo following an explosive report on him by the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ).

According to him, investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni intentionally left out portions of an interview he had with him to make it appear as if he had done something wrong.

In an investigate documentary titled, Contracts for Sale, Manasseh Azure Awuni uncovered that Mr Adjenim Boateng Adjei had set up a company, TDL, which won contracts from the PPA. These contracts were then sold to the highest bidder.

When the documentary was aired, President Akufo-Addo suspended Mr Adjei and referred the matter to CHRAJ for further probe.

CHRAJ’s probe confirmed that indeed TDL won contracts from the PPA, confirming that Mr Adjenim Boateng Adjei was involved in a conflict of interest situation. President Akufo-Addo sacked him when CHRAJ presented its report to him.

But Mr Adjenim Boateng Adjei has rubbished the claims of the report which was triggered by the investigative documentary by Manasseh.

He argued that Manasseh Azure Awuni made him look bad by presenting only portions of the interview he had with him and not the full one.

“I pray that one day, he will be touched by the almighty God and play the full interview he had with me to the whole world regarding these issues,” he said on Net2 TV monitored by MyNewsGh.com

Kennedy Agyapong lashed out at CHRAJ for presenting a bad report on Mr Adjenim Boateng Adjei.
