Former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) now turned social commentator Mr Bernard Allotey Jacobs has made a shocking admission about former President, Mr John Mahama.
According to Allotey Jacobs, he will vouch for the former President on any day that he is not a corrupt individual as has been widely speculated.
Speaking in an interview on Neat FM on Friday, August 20, which was monitored by MyNewsGhana.net, Mr Allotey said that he has worked with Mahama in times past and can say on authority that the latter is not corrupt”.
“I have been like a senior brother to Mahama, I have worked with him and can tell you that he is not corrupt,” he said.
In his view, issues of corruption were linked to Mahama as President largely due to the actions of some of his appointees.
He said that what befell Mahama during his reign as President is also happening to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo.
In his view, people sometimes cook up stories of allegations just to make you look bad in the eyes of the public.
“I know that Akufo-Addo is not corrupt and anyone who has evidence to dismiss my claim should make it public,” he said.
He made this statement after personally apologising to former President John Agyekum Kufuor over some falsehoods and lies that he spread about him some time ago.
Mr Allotey Jacobs is on record to have told some fisher folks not to vote for NPP and Mr Kufuor in particular because he will gladly move the sea from the Central Region to the Ashanti region if he wins.
