President-elect-Nana-Addo-Dankwa-Akufo-Addo-1

The Director of Operations for the group called ‘Fixing The Country’, Mr Hopeson Adorye, has said that the industrial revolution of President Nana Akufo-Addo since he assumed office cannot be compared to any former President, not even Dr Kwame Nkrumah.

Speaking on The Seat Show on Net 2 TV which was monitored by MyNewsGhana.net, Mr Adorye remarked that for all the accolades Ghanaians heap on Dr Kwame Nkrumah with many describing him as Ghana’s best President, it is worthy of note that he established only 47 factories.

With this, he said that President Akufo-Addo after just 5 years in office has also ensured that 104 factories have been established and are currently operational.

He added that 300 businesses initially expressed interest to set up factories in Ghana under the One District One Factory initiative and was hopeful that by the end of Akufo-Addo’s tenure, all the factories will be fully functional.

In this vein, he asked critics who are shouting for jobs to make their own assessment as to whether Akufo-Addo is not living to the promise of creating jobs in the country.

He wondered why Ghanaians constantly shower praises on a former President who established 47 factories but turn around to criticise President Akufo-Addo who has facilitated the construction of 104 factories.

He ended by appealing to Ghanaians not to be deceived by the lies being peddled by the FixTheCountry movement.

” We(Fixing The Country Movement) are not here to insult anyone but we are to put a stop to the misleading information that is been put out there by another group,” he said.
