Ghanaian celebrity blogger and founder of Ameyaw Debrah Media, Ameyaw Kissi Debrah is married to Elsie Darkoa Yobo, a Navy Officer based in the United States of America.
The two have been married for close to three years and have been blessed with a son but the wife and child all live in the United States whereas he is living in Ghana.
Many a time people in a long distance relationship either end up frustrated or somehow along the way they go apart because of the pressures that come with such a relationship.
This is why Nkonkonsa.com caught up with Ameyaw Debrah who is a living testimony of long distance relationship, actually long distance marriage to be precise, to share his experience.
In an interview with the award-winning website, Ameyaw Debrah narrated how beautiful it was for him to find a wife abroad and the sentimental longing for each other that comes with their long distance relationship.
However, it’s not easy because there are times he is unable to see his wife and kid for a long time.
He confided in Nkonkonsa.com sharing some of his difficulties with him and his wife having to live worlds apart.
According to him, he has had to juggle his schedules by ensuring his presence is felt by his child and wife, therefore he travels often to the United States and takes the opportunity to do his usual work there but there are times the family wouldn’t see him for a long period.
“You have to deal with time differences, availability of each other; it’s not easy. But we live in times where all these digital platforms, Whatsapp, video calls; it sort of bridges the gap but it’s still always difficult to deal with”, he said.
