The National Vice- Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Said Sinare, says the current state of insecurity in the country is blamable, and squarely so, on President Akufo-Addo/ Bawumia led Government.
He says no other person can be blamed beyond the president, insisting that it is “because he is the appointing authority” responsible for keeping at the post the Inspector General of Police (IGP) whose main duty is to oversee security within the country not what happened in Heaven, the angry former ambassador notified.
Commenting on the murder of the #fixthecountry activist, Anyass Ibrahim kaaka in his residence on his Facebook page today for showcasing the problems of his town to the public through his social media pages, the National Vice chairman charges the Citizenry to collectively express their disappointment in the Government of President Nana Addo.
According to the former Lawmaker, the President has failed to ensure that Ghanaians are safe under his watch as president.
President Akufo Addo has failed drastically in handling security issues in the country despite being Commander in chief of the Ghana Arm Forces.
READ HIS FULL STATEMENT BELOW:
If the reports emanating from the family of the murdered #fixthecountry activist is anything to go by, then as Ghanaians, we must collectively express our disappointment in the Government of President Nana Addo and his management of our safety and security in the country.
Our country is gradually experiencing a breakdown of the law and it’s very unfortunate the president for over 17 hours has not commented on the unbelievable murder of this young man who uses his social media handles to market the problems of his community.
The insecurity in the country is blameable and the president will not go scot-free as far as 90 cases of murder and insecurity in a month under his watch as a president is concerned. Because he remains the number one appointment authority and I don’t know whether the death of his citizens through these means are part of his numerous promises.
