The Omanhene of Essikado Traditional Area, Nana Kobina Nketsia V has openly told the minister of railway development, Peter John Amewu about the outstanding performance of his predecessor, Hon Joe Ghartey at the railway sector.
As part of his working visit to the Western region, the minister of railway development, Peter John Amewu paid a courtesy call on the Omanhene of Essikado Traditional Area, Nana Kobina Nketsia V to seek his permission before continuing the work.
Nana kobina Nkesia V spoke on his desire to see Ghana’s railway network massively revived to a vibrant status like the days of old. Also, Nana Kobina Nketsia paid tribute to Peter Amewu’s predecessor , Hon. Joe Ghartey for his outstanding contribution to the Railway sector during his tenure.
Peter Amewu also in his address reiterated H.E. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s vision to continue with his government’s massive railway infrastructure investment in furtherance of his agenda to revive our railway industry.
He also appealed for the support of Nana Kobina Nketsia V and other relevant stakeholders in the region to enable the government to achieve its vision for the railway sector and to assist in the protection of Ghana’s railway assets.
