A circuit court in Ho is said to have denied 21 people who are believed to be members of the LGBTQI+ Community bail.
This brings to four, the number of times their lawyers have sought bail for them after a High Court remanded them in Police Custody.
The Judge reading his ruling said he cannot overturn the ruling of the High Court judge who has already denied them bail.
The 21 persons were said to have been arrested upon a tipoff in Ho where they were converging for a said LGBTQI+ Conference.
They have been charged with “unlawful assembly”.
This has been worrying for some members and human rights activists who believe that the state hasn’t been fair to the peole.
