English side Leicester City will be missing three of their key players during the AFCON with Ghana defender Daniel Amartey among the list of players.
Nigeria duo Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho will also join the Super Eagles team during the tournament which kicks off in 29 days time.
The Leicester City trio could be missing out for the whole of January depending on how their national team go far in the tournament which ends on February 6.
Premier League stars competing won’t be able to take part in the first two rounds of the FA Cup – and they’ll also miss two matchdays’ worth of fixtures, should their nation progress that far in the competition.
Daniel Amartey has made eight appearances for The Foxes this season.
The 26-year-old will be one of the key players for the Black Stars in ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
