Ghanaian female rapper Eno Barony has cemented her name and place in history as the first-ever female best rapper award winner at the just-ended 2021 3Music Awards.

She beat stiff competition from Joey B, Medikal, M.anifest, Sarkodie, Strongman, Amerado, Ko-Jo Cue to win the male-dominated category.

Prior to this major feat, she won the Best Female Rap Act in Africa at the 2020 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).

In 2020, Eno Barony, born Ruth Eno Adjoa Amankwah Nyame Adom, released some songs such as ‘Rap goddess’, ‘Argument done’ featuring Sister Deborah and Strongman, ‘Force Dem to Play Nonsense’, ‘Ay3 ka’ and ‘Game of Thrones’, which drew Ghanaians’ attention to her rap skills, wordplay, rhyming, dexterity and delivery.

The 4th edition of the 3Music Awards came off at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC) on 27 March 2021.

Meanwhile, KiDi was adjudged the Artiste of the Year.

He also won the highest number of awards.

Other award winners include Diana Hamilton, Stonebwoy, Dead Peepol, Mr Drew, Sarkodie, Medikal and Sista Afia among others.
