Member of Parliament(MP) for Ningo-Prampram Sam Nartey George has alleged the Electoral Commission(EC) has lost some data hence insisting on validation of current cards with Ghana Card.
The Minority in Parliament has insisted that the Electoral Commission (EC) has plans to compile a new register using the Ghana Card.
This has been shot down by the EC. The Commission has indicated that new registration will rather demand registrants to show proof of qualification with the Ghana card.
But in a recent tweet, Sam Geoge indicated that he has information that the EC has lost some data and will want to cover their tracks with a new registration/validation.
“Credible information available to me indicates that the @ECGhanaOfficial has ‘lost’ datasets from the electoral roll hence their insistence on the compilation of a new Voter’s register under the guise of validation. The EC owes the Ghanaian people the TRUTH!🦁🇬🇭” he said in a tweet.
