
On hearing the shocking demise of the former President Jerry John Rawlings, a lot of tributes have been poured out to his family and the people of Ghana.
Many international celebrities and heads of some African countries have eulogized the former President. Didier Drogba, the former Ivorien International and Chelseas icon, also took to his twitter handle to extend his condolence to the family of the late Jerry John Rawlings and the people of Ghana.
He tweeted by saying;
He worked hard for social transformation.
The former President whose death occurred at the Korlebu Teaching Hospital in the early hours of yesterday came tas a shock to people all over the world.
Tributes have so far been extended by Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya, George Weah of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia amongst others.
Didier Drogba said;
“My sincere condolences to my dear Ghanaian Brothers for the loss of The President @officeofJJR,” Drogba tweeted.
“He was a strong believer of democracy, a leader who worked hard for a social and economical transformation while leading by example.”
