Cape Coast, 9th November, 2021, In March last year, the Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North donated some items to the Elmina Fire Service as part of stretching a helping a hand to them.
Ever since the Cape Coast North Constituents did him the honour for voting for him to represent them, he has supported them through his various initiatives.
Today, 9th November, 2021, Dr. Kwamena Minta Nyarku donated 20 bags of cement to the Cape Coast National Fire Service.
Mr. Ebenezer Kojo Domey, who is the personal assistant of the MP did the donation on his behalf saying “This is the MP’s widow might to support an important institution such as the Fire Service”.
According to him, the Regional Fire Officer, Mr John Amartey, called on the MP to support his efforts towards putting up a new office for the regional outfit. He furthered that, the MP has been a huge supporter and sponsor of the operations of the fire service. He recalled that the MP has supported all the fire service stations in Cape Coast and in Elmina as well. All the stations have collectively benefitted from over 128 wellington boots, over 500 face shields, an air-condition, and some undisclosed amounts of money.
“Such institutions need to be equipped to be able to deliver on their mandate. Fire outbreaks are no respector of persons and we hope this token would go a long way to encourage the Fire Services to help those who shall need their service”.
Receiving the donations, Fire Officer DO1 Solomon Oblikey took delivery of the items and thanked the MP for his kind gesture. “We thank the MP for his assistance and hope his help would continue. Such things help to motivate us to do our best”.
Other fire officers who were at the donation ceremony expressed the elation for what the MP had done and wished him God’s blessings.
The Cape Coast North Member of Parliament’s personal assistant was accompanied by Mr Simon Peter Gyekye, Cape Coast North NDC Constituency Secretary, and Madam Lucy Aggrey, a branch executive at Pedu Community, to donate the items on behalf of the MP.
