A primary school boy who drew a portrait of Honorable Kennedy Agyepong in school has been identified and offered a scholarship, a picture of the portrait was taken by his teacher with the boy holding the portrait with his mates in the classroom, the portrait drew by the primary school boy has been trending online, many Ghanaians have reacted to the portrait sketched on paper with pencil.

The Honorable member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kenedy Agyepong was excited to see a portrait of himself drew by a nine year old boy, the pencil drawing of Kennedy Agyepong looks like a picture taken with camera. Kennedy Agyepong has helped a lot of young guys in his Constituency by paying school fees from second cycle school to tertiary level.

Honorable Kennedy Agyepong tasked his aid to search for the young boy who sketched a portrait of him with pencil, the young boy has been identified. This young boy was given the opportunity to have a lunch with the member of Parliament.

 

The Honorable member of Parliament has given a scholarship to the young boy to study from the secondary school to the university. A brand new laptop was given to the young boy and his school was also given computers.

The young boy is talented and he should be given the opportunity to enable him build on his talent, Technical and Vocational Education has been tagged by many Ghanaians as a course for students who are not academically good. Majority of Ghanaians have dumped the talents of their children forcing them to read other programs in school.

Parents are to motivate their children when they exhibit their creativity, this is what the Honorable Kennedy Agyepong has done, his kind gesture for the young boy will motivate others to nature their talents. Children should be provided with the flexibility to meet their talents, parents are to observe their children to identify their talents.

Parents can nurture children positive self-esteem by helping them to discover what they are good at doing, children are encouraged to do more when they are motivated, when a child feels he is competent in what he is doing, he is motivated to do more. Part of a child’s self-confidence comes from feeling extraordinary and skilled at something they enjoy doing.

Our educational system should be structured to be able to nurture children talents, the school environment should encourage students to exhibit their talents. Guidance Counseling Coordinators should be employed in the basic schools to help children execute their talents.
