Ghanaians will have something about this month, following news that the price of fuel on the market at the various pumps will reduce in the second pricing-Window of August 2021.

This information was made by the Institute for Energy Security (IES) in its latest projection.

The IES in a release sighted by MyNewsGhana.net on Monday, August 16, explained that the downward reduction may, however, have some effects on the largest local market shareholder, GOIL, TOTAL and Shell.

Also, the IES added that these changes in prices of the commodities on the international market are expected to affect local market prices in Ghana.

So far, the price of petroleum products within the first pricing window of August 2021 saw the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) continue to maintain prices at the pump from the first pricing window of July.

At the moment, the average price of fuel per litre at the pump remains stands at GHS5.97 for both Gasoline and Gasoil on account of the relative price stability.
