The Attorney General, Mr Godfred Dame is gearing up to pursue 52 cases of corrupt deals that were undertaken under the NDC Mills/Mahama administration, the Bono Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party(NPP) Mr Kwame Baffoe aka Abronye has revealed
Speaking in an exclusive interview on Oman FM on the Boiling Point show which was monitored by MynewsGhana.net, he said that out of these 52 cases, the country lost an amount of over 3 billion dollars due to collusion by some NDC bigwigs.
He said this in response to a statement during the August 4 Fix the county demonstration where a protestor held a placard with the inscription “stop the persecution”.
According to Abronye, persons shouting FixTheCountry will soon get to know how the NDC during their time in power stole money through dubious means under the guise of undertaken development projects.
He also urged Ghanaians not to be deceived by the actions of the convenors of the FixTheCountry movement.
On that issue, Abronye alleged that one of the convenors has fallen out with his peers who led the demonstration because he hasn’t been given his share of the money he was promised by some bigwigs in an opposition party
He added most of the journalists who joined the protest did so because the President did not give them any appointment.
” One journalist came to me with a fake NPP identity card expressing disappointment that he been snubbed as far as the appointment was concerned,” he said.
