First Vice Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region Mr. Kwabena Nsenkyere has gone after a social media activist Nana Amoako Mensah over the latter’s claims contained in a publication on Facebook
Mr. Nsenkyere who is furious indicated that the claims by Nana Amoako Mensah seek to pitch him against Vice president Dr Mahamadu Bawumia and the NPP.
According to a post sighted by MyNewsGh.com, Nana Amoako Mensah claims the NPP First Vice Ashanti Regional Chair is an ally of the Trade and Industry Minister, John Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten and is busily Campaigning for him to become the party’s 2024 flagbearer against Dr. Bawumia.
Nana Amoako Mensah also claimed on his Facebook post that, Mr. Kwabena Nsenkyere among faces of the party in the region is the Middle Sector Campaign Manager for Mr. Alan Kyeremanten, a publication strongly denied by the NPP Regional Executive.
“I Know Bawumia and wife Samira way back in 2013 and I would be proud if Dr. Bawumia is associated with me not Alan”, the NPP leading member fumed during a radio interview monitored on Kumasi-based Akoma FM hosted by Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin
Mr. Nsenkyere however gave his subtle endorsement to Vice president Dr Mahamadu Bawumia to lead NPP to the next general elections in Ghana contrary to the party’s stern warning asking all executives of the party to stay away from openly declaring their support to interested persons who want to become 2024 flagbearer.
