There is a full slate of Premier League fixtures to look forward to over the next three nights as midweek action returns with a bang.
Tonight’s early games see Crystal Palace and West Ham meet in a London derby and Newcastle host Leeds at St James’ Park.
At 8.15pm, Manchester City tackle West Brom in a match you can read about here, while Southampton face Arsenal for the second time in four days at St Mary’s.
Crystal Palace vs West Ham (6pm, BT Sport 2)
West Ham can move into the top four with a fourth straight Premier League victory at Crystal Palace.
David Moyes has seen his side pick up 32 points from 19 games so far — their best start to a campaign in the top flight in 36 years.
In contrast, Palace started the season strongly but have won just one of their last eight outings, slipping to 13th in the table in the process.
But they have not lost to West Ham in nearly five years and Roy Hodgson will be keen for his troops to arrest the slide, with their next six fixtures coming against teams in the bottom half.
New signing Jean Philippe Mateta has yet to secure a work permit but Wilfried Zaha and Cheikhou Kouyate return for Palace, while Arthur Masuaku is the only absentee for West Ham.
Newcastle vs Leeds (6pm, BT Sport 1)
After blocking newspapers from asking questions in his pre-match press conference, Steve Bruce will be desperate for Newcastle to stop the rot against Leeds.
The Magpies have not won in 10 games across all competitions, only finding the back of the net twice in their past nine clashes after that run started with a 5-2 defeat at Elland Road.
Bruce (pictured above) is hugely unpopular among the fans at his boyhood club and knows Newcastle must improve or face a relegation dogfight — they enter this contest only two places and seven points above the drop zone.
It has also not been a bright start to 2021 for Leeds, with league defeats to Tottenham and Brighton falling either side of an embarrassing 3-0 FA Cup exit to Crawley.
Illan Meslier and Kalvin Phillips both return for the visitors, while Allan Saint-Maximin could make his first Newcastle start since a lengthy absence with coronavirus.
Southampton vs Arsenal (8.15pm, BT Sport 1)
Southampton tackle Arsenal once again having beaten them 1-0 in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.
And Ralph Hasenhuttl will be hoping another victory can kickstart his side’s Premier League campaign, with a 1-0 triumph over champions Liverpool their only win in six league matches.
Despite keeping three clean sheets during that run, the Saints have found the back of the net only twice and having Danny Ings back could prove crucial.
It has been the opposite story for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, with four wins in five league games easing the pressure on the young boss and pointing towards a brighter second half of the campaign.
Ryan Bertrand and Kyle Walker-Peters are both unavailable for the hosts.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be absent again for the Gunners due to personal reasons and Kieran Tierney is a doubt.
