
Heavy security has been deployed to the office of the former president, Mr. John Dramani Mahama.
According to reports, calls were placed through to the Ghana police force for their men to be deployed to the Office of the former President. Their presence, according to sources, is to provide extra security and also to ensure traffic.
It is alleged that the road in front of the former President’s office was blocked, hence the calling of the police but, a member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram revealed that, they don’t need police security at the office of the leader of the party.
According to the Hon. MP, the actions of the police looks like Police intimidation. He also mentioned that the coming of the police to the office is an intrusion.
Earlier, there was a supposed meeting between the Peace Council and the former President, however, there meeting, according to reports gathered by MynewsGhana.net, the meeting ended inconclusively. There has been a request that the Peace Council rather meets up with the president, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo, and the executives of the New Patriotic Party.
