There have been gunshots at the Church of Christ polling station at Kasoa in the Awutu Senya-East of the Central region.

As a result of the shootings, two persons believed to be Polling Agents for the National Democratic Congress(NDC) sustained different degrees of injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Reports reaching my MynewsGhana.net indicated that the perpetrators of the crime could not be identified but they were seen in a black Toyota Landcruiser. They were said to have opened fire on a Kia Salon Car driving out of the polling station.

Kasoa has been marked by the Security Task Force as one of the flashpoints in the December 2020 elections, hence, as the elections have started, the security task force is on the lookout for any social miscreants who would want to destabilize a rather smooth process of election.

According to the Electoral Commission of Ghana, there Over 17 million registered voters are expected to cast their votes on December 7, 2020.

The electoral commission has said over 33,000 polling stations have been dedicated for the presidential and parliamentary polls.
