
Former President and flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama accompanied by Vice Chairman of the NDC Council of Elders Alhaji Mahama Iddrisu, National Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia, and other national executives of the party, has paid homeage to the late mother of former President Jerry John Rawlings.
The mother of former President Jerry John Rawlings, Madam Victoria Agbotui on Thursday 24th September 2020 passed away after a short illness.
John Dramani Mahama and some leading members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) called on Jerry John Rawlings to commiserate with him following the passing of his mother.
John Mahama described the death of Madam Victoria Agbotui as a shared one.
He said that she was a custodian of wisdom and did not hesitate to give sound counsel whenever she met party executives.
The NDC flagbearer said, “Mama was the kind of person one would assume would live forever…”
He gave full assurance that the NDC is will participate fully in all preparations and funeral plans.
