Parliament-750x499-1

This is when the Ghanaian Parliament’s Majority Caucus abandoned sitting earlier for unknown reasons.

Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin

After the Majority caucus “abandoned” the house for several hours, the Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament was obliged to call a 30-minute pause.

Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin said the house needed to be suspended for 30 minutes in order to wait for the majority to join members for a full house.

This was when the deputy minority leader, Ahmed Ibrahim raised an issue on the floor of the house seeking reasons from the Speaker why the Majority is absent from the house.

The Speaker, on the other hand, has acknowledged that he is unaware of the absence of the Majority members, and he has also denied any knowledge of any Majority Caucus meeting.

He has since put the house on hold.
